Today’s Letter

My Dearest, Abba Father,

What a grand privilege is mine to meet with thee morning by morning to hear thy words to thy servant. I prithee, give me a hearing ear and a seeing eye. May I hear all that I listen to and see all that I look at. For I know that there are things that you want to show me that are beyond my ken at the present time.

O, Abba, open my eyes to behold wondrous things out of thy law. Help me to expect great things from thee. Help me to act out my faith by acting on my faith.

In gratitude,

James

Today’s Letter
My dear son, James,
Wilt thou, of thine own free will be as a limp of clay in mine hands? Wilt thou serve me with a merry heart? Wilt thou love righteousness and hate wickedness? When I call, wilt thou answer me?

If thou wilt do these things then shalt the Lord thy God anoint thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows; I will send my Word and heal thee and thine; I will number thy steps and counsel thee with mine eye upon thee; I will open mine eyes upon thee and enter into sweet communion with thee; thou shall call and I will answer thee; I will have a desire to the work of mine hand; I shall order thy steps and thou shalt delight thyself in my way; thy prayer shall be my delight and I will make thee a wise son that thou mightest bring joy to the heart of thy Father,

In love,

Thy Abba Father.
