MORE ABOUT

"MARY'S SONG"

By
Jim Pappas

"Mary's Song" is an intimate glimpse into the life of history's most favored woman. A woman more widely known and more admired than any before or after her. And yet she had a human heart that longed for understanding and companionship in sorrow. She too felt the pain of being counted guilty when she was deserving only of honor. Her heart was wrenched when the man she loved above all others sent her away in disgrace.

And yet above the storm of human passions and scorn, beyond the narrow scope of hearts that could not see beyond their senses, past all else, Mary knew that God was there. He heard her prayers and would answer in ways that were just as mysterious as the child she bore. God would attend and protect her and, come what may, His will would be done. Her Son would accomplish the mission for which He had come.

"Mary's Song." One woman's story of love and triumph designed to inspire all of us to greater heights of faith in our daily walk with God. Especially encouraging to Home School families who face some of the same issues that Mary & Joseph had to deal with.

Note: In the gospels four brothers and at least two sisters of Jesus are mentioned. The brothers are even called by name. ("Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? And his sisters, are they not all with us? - Matthew 13: 55, 56) There are two opposing views of who these children were. Were they Joseph's by a previous marriage or younger siblings by Mary and Joseph? This video has chosen the former view as the more logical. If this viewpoint is offensive you may wish to forego viewing this production. However, the point is only lightly touched upon and the main theme is the love of a man and a woman supported in crisis by the hands of God.
